Reiki and Guru

Since long, I have had a mind to get initiated into reiki and this year I finally managed to do that.

There were a lot of experiences but what I would like to share here in this blog is an insight which I had about Guru- Disciple relationship.

I have heard from a lot of people that if you get accepted by a guru then from there on the guru will know about all that is happening to you. I have been given an example that though you have a lot of hair on your head, but still even if one hair is pulled, the pain is felt and similarly, you are connected to your guru… whatever happens to you is known to him.

When I got initiated into reiki, the thought that struck me is that the way this whole universe (brahmaand) is part of the same energy, and when you are initiated into reiki, you become a channel and its easier to tap into this energy, similarly when a guru accepts you, there is a energy channel which opens between you and the guru. 

The channel helps the guru to support you in your spiritual endeavors and you are able to tap into that channel for self-healing of all kinds. I have believed for long that we are part of the ONE and are connected, but I guess the commitment fine tunes and makes the communication channel much better between you and the GURU. Guru mantra is, what I would look at as a key, to unlock the channel and make the connect to the Guru into a high speed highway J
