Silence Speaks

Silence says a lot, and though this is an oxymoron, but one that I believe in. I believe that words are the most coarse way of expression. Have you ever noticed that when it comes to your most heartfelt moments, you are actually quiet… you do not find the words to express yourself. That's my experience for sure. When you truly love someone, you do not know what to say, for “I love you” seems very hollow and inadequate. The funny part is that you may say the same three words to someone else very easily, for eg someone got you a favorite book and you very easily say…”I love you”, someone got you something you were craving for and you say “I love you”. When someone close is moving away, you don’t know what to say, you simply move with the moment, if the understanding is good, probably the other person will also know, what you feel, but saying something like “I will miss you” seems hollow and does not capture the essence of your feelings in full. You may be more vocal to another person who is not as close to you, but the closer the person is to you, the more you get the feeling that words fail you. Yes, words can be a good indicator, but that’s about it, they ask you to look in a particular direction, but it is for understanding beyond words to capture the essence of anything in full. When you say, I am wearing a blue shirt, the blue may be dark blue, pastel blue, bluish green and so on… you never know… look at all the denim jeans in blue and one is different from the other.

Silence is the most intense expression!
