The Big picture

Would like to share something that I had read a while ago:

I was a small child of five, when once I observed my mom was embroidering a piece of cloth and I was lying in her lap and looking at the design from underneath. All I could see was complete mess with threads crossing each other and the knots being there as well. I could not understand why this was taking so much attention of my mom, for nothing great seemed to be coming out of it. I asked my mom to stop doing it, but she asked me to go out and play. I went out to play and then later in the evening, I came and saw the same piece of cloth which my mom had finished working on. It had a beautiful flower!

This small piece of writing really influenced me.
As children, we do not even know, what our parents are trying to do... when they let you fall off the bicycle, they are preparing you to ride it smoothly. When they scold you for studies, they are preparing you for the life ahead. A child does not not have the understanding of the bigger plan of parents. The mom was making a beautiful pattern, but all the little child could see was the mess of thread. As we grow older, our lives go in all different directions, and there are so many times that we wonder, what is happening to us… where are we going, why is life going in weird ways, forgetting that there is a power who makes beautiful pattern out of each life. We need to let it take its own course and trust to let that beautiful pattern emerge. I thank the power who completely takes care of me… to anyone else, it may seem like that my life is the bottom of the embroidery pattern, but I know there is a beautiful pattern emerging 

Thanks!!!
